Remember when Babs was "Oracle"? For those unaware, the Joker and his henchmen sent the pretty lass a greeting card delivered with injury left forever. Now, Babs has recovered, regained her identity, and new strength in her friends, and family. Except this is no ordinary tale, it starts with branching chapters about her quest for answers. From dealing blows with various Joker henchmen, to a few new faces. (and teaming up with Catwoman, and oddly enough a Talon left behind). Eventually working alongside Batman and co. to deal with the biggest mystery of all. Who is the Joker?

Since day one, the Joker has been after Batman and his family. Never once has he admitted defeat, or died (many countless times) without a smile on his face. Could this be the one time the Jester has met his end?

In the end tier story, its Babs vs her brother James Jr. the dark horse, or the nightmare the family thought was beyond redemption. Made a trade with nefarious villains to get every heroes attention, including his sister. But when it comes to loved ones, can Babs fight to save everyone? Or does she lose it all?

**This is a very much darker Batgirl than usual, but it is solid storytelling at best. Make sure not to miss this one, even to the last page.

Especially when on watch with Mera, an old female friend re-appears (who btw is quite modest with her clothing, oh and she has the ability to talk with animals). Back to the tale at hand, the past returns, with Aquaman's old team reuniting to do battle with an old enemy, Black Manta. Plus Aquaman's origin tale never before told quite like this. Worth a read! Oh and there is a love story / jealousy thing going on, but won't tell you who.

Clark Kent is dead!! Wait what? Okay.. you're probably shocked. Wait for it. Okay there, Kal wants to be free of having a human identity, sure it comes in handy to have a regular life but sometimes it gets in the way. So he tries on a few others, some work, some don't. It is all in the eye of the beholder. Only one problem.. which is the real guy?

Wait and there's an #Elsewords tie-in! A leader of the free world, who's also president and bears the S on his chest?! Worlds under seige, but the same hero different song. What fate does that have over our 52? Hmm more mysteries build, others are found, and there's even a few tales "Before the New 52".

How does that make sense? Don't worry about it, just read.

A few years ago, there was a tale called "Blackest Knight" and "Brightest Day". Both of those chapters unraveled the entire DCU. Bringing back the dead, giving them a second chance, but there were consequences once the rings were reunited. Lost ones reconnected, but once the light was dimmed, they all returned to the earth. However... the consequences are still felt in this new chapter.

A new evil has arisen, in the form of creatures seeking hearts, those of noble service. Heroes, those who have dealt with losses that took time to heal. It is those moments, this monster craves.
