A few years ago, there was a tale called "Blackest Knight" and "Brightest Day". Both of those chapters unraveled the entire DCU. Bringing back the dead, giving them a second chance, but there were consequences once the rings were reunited. Lost ones reconnected, but once the light was dimmed, they all returned to the earth. However... the consequences are still felt in this new chapter.
A new evil has arisen, in the form of creatures seeking hearts, those of noble service. Heroes, those who have dealt with losses that took time to heal. It is those moments, this monster craves.
Within this mini-series, all of the heroes of the JL team juggle what they've done right, and wrong. There is no quick answer, everything they've done thus far has had numerous consequences. From Diana's relationship with Steve (who is acting liaison on communications with the world). To all of those who now know what the heroes true motives are, protecting humanity.
